Abstract

The exploration of cultural identity in the context of multicultural counseling has become increasingly important in addressing the complexity of cultural identity in today's globalized world. The purpose of this article is to investigate students' perspectives on cultural identity in multicultural counseling. Through a thorough analysis of literature, this article will explore students' perspectives and the role of cultural identity in understanding the challenges of multicultural counseling for both counselors and clients. Factors such as language, religion, cultural values, and social norms will be the focus in shaping individual identity in the counseling context. Additionally, this article will highlight the importance of cultural awareness for counselors in building effective relationships with clients from various cultural backgrounds.
