ID, EGO, AND SUPER EGO ANALYSIS OF SOMEONE’S LOVE STORY

This study aims to analyze the conflicts that occur in the romantic relationship experienced by Ibro, which is not in accordance with his expectations, and has a negative impact on his behavior and lifestyle. This conflict is studied in the context of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory, focusing on the id, ego, and superego.The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with Ibro, which provided insight into Ibro's experiences and perceptions of the conflict that occurred in his romantic relationship. The results of the analysis show that the problems experienced by Ibro in his romantic relationship are rooted in the mismatch between expectations and reality. The disappointment felt by Ibro triggers negative behaviors, such as violating ethics and adopting a negative lifestyle.In the context of Freud's psychoanalytic theory, the negative behaviors and negative lifestyle can be attributed to the dominance of the id in Ibro's personality. Ibro tends to indulge in his emotions and express them in a negative way, as a mechanism to vent the disappointment he feels.The conclusion of this study shows that conflict in a romantic relationship can have a negative impact on a person's behavior and lifestyle. Freud's psychoanalytic theory, particularly the concepts of id, ego, and superego, provides a deeper understanding of how psychological dynamics influence an individual's response and behavior in dealing with such conflicts. Through the use of descriptive qualitative methods, this study describes in detail Ibro's experiences and perceptions of conflict in his romantic relationship.
