Meningkatkan Keterampilan Argumentasi Ilmiah Mahasiswa Calon Guru IPA melalui Implementasi Model Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI)

Argumentasi ilmiah merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa calon guru IPA. Keterampilan tersebut dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa untuk dapat berhasil dalam bidang akademik dan karir di era saat ini. Keterampilan tersebut juga merupakan salah satu praktik inti yang harus diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Meningkatkan keterampilan argumentasi ilmiah pada diri mahasiswa calon guru IPA merupakan salah satu program penting untuk menghasilkan guru IPA yang berkualitas. Hal tersebut dapat dilakukan melalui implementasi model ADI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan argumentasi ilmiah mahasiswa sebagai dampak implementasi model ADI. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan one-group pretest-posttest design dengan analisis normalized change. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model ADI berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan argumentasi ilmiah mahasiswa. Peningkatan tersebut berada pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata skor normalized change sebesar 0.39. Implementasi model ADI berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan indikator claim, evidence, dan reasoning. Namun, implementasi model ADI dalam penelitian ini belum berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan indikator counterclaim dan rebuttal.
