Social Media Influencers and Bitcoin Literacy as Determinants of Investment Intention: The Mediating Role of FoMO
Abstract
This study is a quantitative study that aims to analyze the effect of Social Media Influencers and Bitcoin literacy on investment intentions with Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) as a mediating variable. The population in this study are individuals who have an interest or potential to invest in the crypto market, especially Bitcoin. The sample consisted of respondents who filled out the questionnaire and met the criteria as potential investors or social media users who were exposed to information related to Bitcoin. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, specifically purposive sampling, because this research targets certain groups that have characteristics in accordance with the research objectives. Data were obtained through a questionnaire survey and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method.
