Evaluation of the Student Exchange Program to Implement the MBKM Policy of the Accounting Education Study Program at Surabaya State University

Abstrak
The Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) Policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in implementing a student exchange program since 2020. The purpose of this program is to improve students' experience and scientific knowledge by learning from other universities. However, there have been no comprehensive evaluation results on the success of the program since 2020. Therefore, the author conducted this study because this study is very important to measure how successful the program is. The purpose of this study is to collect data on how effective and efficient the student exchange program is, especially for accounting education study program students at Surabaya State University, which is useful as a basis for making policy decisions. This study was designed with a qualitative descriptive approach, the CIPP evaluation model, and data collected through questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the Surabaya State University student exchange program is running well. Surabaya State University can provide academic and non-academic aspects well so that students have an extraordinary academic experience, cultural understanding, and increased academic achievement.
