Peran Public Figure Dalam Mendukung Gerakan Kesetaraan Gender

Abstract

It will not end it if it speaks of gender equality. The role of men and women as if organized by the patriarchal
culture that has been grasped and developed by the community. As if men should strong, lead, and rule while
women should be, according to, gentle, and become number two. But since the advent of public figure in this
modern age, able to have a positive impact on gender equality movements, which are able to open insight and
thoughts of people about the loss caused by the patriarchary culture. Because of this consequences, many darers
"speake up" will be themselves. The purpose of this research is to describe the impact of social change that occurs
in the community between the time before the emergence of public figures and after the emergence of public figures
in the topic of gender equality. The method used in this study uses qualitative approach with research data
obtained through observation around the environment including through mass media technology. This study
produces that the public influence of figures in influencing the thinking of the publicity of gender equality is capable
of a little help in opening insights on the poor of the patriarchal culture that has developed in the community from
the age of time. As a result many people whose thoughts are open about gender equality then prefer to help or
defend people who are victims of patriarchary culture.
