Penggunaan E-Wallet sebagai Kemajuan Teknologi Digital dalam Menentukan Preferensi Masyarakat di Surabaya

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have encouraged the creation of e-wallets as an alternative for people to transact. This study aims to identify the details of the development of e-wallets in Indonesia, especially in the city of Surabaya. The identification includes people's preferences in determining digital transaction methods with e-wallet media as an advancement in digital technology in the city of Surabaya. This type of research is qualitative research. The variables studied contain people's preferences and advances in digital technology. The data collection technique in this study used a mixed method, namely direct interviews and filling out questionnaires. The research sample involved six informants from the general public and 107 respondents to the questionnaire which was random sampling. The results revealed that people's preferences lead to Shopeepay as the most popular e-wallet. In addition, the public also responded to the involvement of e-wallets as a medium of efficient and practical transactions
