Pro Dan Kontra Pembatalan Sanksi FIFA Terhadap PSSI

Abstract

FIFA is the largest football federation in the world. FIFA also has the authority to regulate football institutions around the world, invluding Indonesia. Therefore, to always maintain security and prosperity in the football arena, FIFA has the authority to impose sanctions on any state football agency that violates the agreed rules before. The Tragedy of Kanjuruhan in Indonesia cannot be separated from FIFA’s attention. At first, the Indonesian people suspected that FIFA was planning to take firm action on what happened in Kanjuruhan Stadium by imposing sanctions in the form of freezing the Indonesia National League for up to 8 years. That’s why, The President of the Unitary State of the Republic Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo, trying to persuade the parties from FIFA to ease the sanctions if this actually happens, even better if the sanctions are canceled.
