Persepsi Mahasiswa Terhadap Isu Aborsi, Pro-choice dan Pro-life : Perspektif Paguyuban Putri Pemberdayaan Perempuan Jawa Timur

Our research aims to analyze university students' perceptions of the abortion issue, by reviewing the pro-choice and pro-life worldviews using the perspective of the East Java Women's Empowerment Association. This study used qualitative methods to explore students' understanding of women's reproductive rights and the moral dilemmas associated with abortion. Data were obtained through in-depth research with members of the association consisting of active members of the East Java Women's Empowerment Women's Association who have direct involvement in discussions or advocacy related to the issue of abortion. The results showed that the data collected consisted of in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with students who are members of the women's empowerment association in the East Java region. The results of qualitative data analysis show that there are differences in student perceptions categorized into several themes: pro-choice, pro-life, negative or neutral, religious and cultural influences, the role of the Association of Daughters, social and academic influences, and sexual education.
