Peran Sosial Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi dalam Proses Perkuliahan di Fakultas Ushuluddin Adab dan Dakwah IAIN Lhokseumawe

Abstract

This thesis is entitled "The Social Role of Information and Communication Technology in the Lecture Process at the
Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah IAIN Lhokseumawe". The formulation of the problem in this thesis is how
the needs of FUAD IAIN Lhokseumawe for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the lecture process
and how the Role of ICT in the Lecture Process at FUAD IAIN Lhokseumawe. In addition, it also looks at how
ICT influences the development of society within the campus. The objectives to be achieved by the researcher are to see the
need for technology in lectures at FUAD IAIN Lhokseumawe and to determine the role of ICT in the Lecture Process
at FUAD IAIN Lhokseumawe. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data
collection techniques in this thesis using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis
technique in this study uses three stages, namely the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage and the conclusion
drawing stage. This study uses the theory of Diffusion of Innovation as a limitation and research basis. The results
showed that: first, the need for FUAD IAIN Lhokseumawe for ICT in the lecture process was based on two things,
namely the demands of the times and facilitating the learning process in the Digital Age. The two roles of ICT, especially
Sevima EdLink, in the lecture process at FUAD include: as an E-Learning learning media, a representative
administrative service platform and as a medium of information and communication. The three obstacle factors in the
Utilization of the Role of Sevima EdLink in the Lecture Process at the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah are:
personal barriers, cultural or cultural barriers, technical barriers and environmental barriers.
