Strategi Penanganan Sampah Melalui Program Bank Sampah di Keluarahan Bangkingan Kecamatan Lakarsantri

Abstract

Garbage still takes a big part in environmental problems. Population growth is one of the causes of increasing waste. So
far, there have been various efforts to overcome the waste problem. Several empowerment activities were also carried out to
increase public understanding regarding waste management. Garbage bank is one of them. Waste bank is a form of
waste management and improves environmental quality through waste sorting and collection activities. This study aims
to explore strategies for handling waste through the waste bank program and indentify community participation in the
program. The method used is a qualitative method with a theoretical approach to AGIL Talcott Parsons. The results
show that the waste bank program can make the environment cleaner, especially from plastic waste. The community
indirectly also earns passive income as waste bank customers
