Perubahan Gaya Hidup Hedonisme pada Kalangan Mahasiswa Rantau Di Kota Surabaya

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the hedonistic lifestyle changes of overseas students in the city of
Surabaya. This research is a qualitative research because it takes an approach that examines the life of hedonism
among students who migrate to the city of Surabaya. The data collection technique was carried out by interviewing
to collect further information, so the questions would have an open format, present data and draw conclusions.
This is also a challenge in it self because the influence of hedonism can bring positive or negative results that
wander far away in Surabaya, and we also need to need an in-depth and comprehensive understanding to answer
the problem. In this study, the researcher used qualitative research. The researcher approached with interviews to
collect information in order to answer research problems, in-depth and thorough understanding in accordance
with the object under study in order to produce conclusions related to changes in the lifestyle of overseas students
in the city of Surabaya. The final result of this study is that researchers know that there is a change in the lifestyle of
hedonism among overseas students in the c ity of Surabaya. The style of hedonism is also influenced by several
factors, namely internal and external. One of the biggest supporting factors is external factors involving reference
groups. Where from this reference group, hedonistic behavior can emerge if we cannot restrain and limit
ourselves.
