Abstract

Elementary school-age children can be said to be children who are still underage because they are between 7-12 years old. The presence of technology today can lead to the expansion of culture across countries, such as Korean culture which is currently very popular with both adults and children. Korean drama shows are presented with fresh and alluring nuances, so it's no wonder Korean dramas are liked by the general public, not an exception for elementary school children. Access to viewing Korean drama shows at this time is very easy to obtain due to technology such as the internet which is very helpful. The purpose of this study is to describe the action and to find out the form of awareness of elementary school children as a Korean drama. This study uses qualitative methods with Hussrel's phenomenological perspective theory to explain how elementary school-age children as fans of Korean dramas will be described as they are and without an interpretation process. The results of this study reveal that the actions of elementary school children as Korean drama lovers are by subscribing to legal applications that provide Korean drama shows, buying shared Blu-rays, consuming social media to deal with developments in Korean dramas.
