Abstract

This study discusses the social construction of society regarding criminal acts during the covid 19 pandemic. The covid 19
pandemic has a serious impact on society. Especially termination of employment (PHK). Which requires them to do everything to
meet their needs, including acts of violence. This research departs from the high crime rate during the covid 9 pandemic. The
purpose of this study is to find out the social contruction of the community abaout acts of violence based on the values that exist in society and the actions that are built by the community in these acts of violence. This research is operated using te perspective of Berger and Luckmann sosia contruction and the perspective of theory Anomie’s Merton. By using a descriptives qalitative
research approach. The result of this study are that increased acts of violence during the pandemic do not break the community’s
efforts to build action through knowledge and social solidarity
