The increasing use of mobile banking technology (M-banking) has influenced various aspects of
society's life in the digital era. This scientific article aims to investigate the influence of Mbanking on the shopping patterns of Surabaya's residents. The research methodology used in this
study involves a survey of 48 active M-banking users in Surabaya, as well as a literature review
indicating that M-banking plays a crucial role in transforming consumer shopping behavior. Mbanking has become a revolutionary innovation, not only in terms of convenience but also in
terms of fundamentally changing consumer shopping behavior. This transformation has proven to
bring positive benefits, with the public becoming more savvy in managing their personal finances
and having more control over how they spend their money. The results of data analysis from the
survey and literature review indicate that M-banking has a significant impact on changing the
shopping patterns of Surabaya's residents. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Mbanking has provided a positive contribution in facilitating the community's access to banking
services, which, in turn, alters how they shop. Surabaya's residents tend to be more meticulous in
managing their finances and have greater flexibility in conducting shopping transacti ons. This
undoubtedly has broader implications for the economy of Surabaya and may also provide
valuable insights for other cities experiencing similar changes in this digital era.
