Dampak Fitur “Shopeepay” Dalam Meningkatkan Pola Hidup Konsumtif Masyarakat

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how consumptive people are in using shopeepay in
everyday life, where shopeepay is a digital wallet that is not only for payments on the shopee
application, but shopeepay itself can be for anything, such as purchasing credit, electricity,
transfers, online transactions made on applications such as Netflix or merchant sites.
Technological advances greatly affect people's lives, significant changes are inevitable,
changes in the transaction process, the use of digital wallets is increasingly popular, as well
as the shopee application that provides shopeepay as a means of payment, the existence of
ShopeePay turns out to trigger people's consumptive behavior, where people will buy goods
continuously as they wish with the balance they have on ShopeePay, Shopee always offers
special things for ShopeePay users, from free shipping to discounts. From the survey we
conducted, by giving a G-form link which contains several questions related to shopeepay,
from how often to use ShopeePay, transact for anything, how much to spend and others.
People answer more buying goods with ShopeePay during events and promos, usually also
for purchasing credit, or transacting outside Shopee, spending every month from the survey
results, answers with almost the same percentage are IDR 50,000 to IDR 500,000, shopeepay
always makes it easier to transact, so that consumptive behavior is inevitable.
