Abstract

It can be said that today many people have experienced or been the target of bullying. This
behavior often occurs both verbally and nonverbally. Bullying is common in adolescents. One of
the consequences of bullying in adolescents is an obstacle in the communication process,
namely effective or ideal communication does not occur. This act of bullying can affect
interpersonal communication patterns. The purpose of this study is to explain how the strategies
of victims of bulliying adapt to communication. This research is based on interviews with
victims of bullying. Data collection analysis was carried out using qualitative analysis by
directly interviewing victims of bullying. Bullying can affect the behavior of others. One of the
resulting influences is their communication pattern. There are two types of interpersonal
communication: ideal communication and nonideal communication. Communication patterns
change when there are non-ideal factors. The influence of bullying intensity negatively affects
the communication pattern of a person's interpersonal skills to be less than ideal or poor.
