Moving images are used in films as a form of communication. One of the things that makes it
interesting and makes you stop thinking is the interesting plot and great sound effects. Films
serve a variety of purposes besides providing entertainment, including providing information,
encouraging education, and facilitating communication. The message that the communicator
wants to convey to the audience is often conveyed through film. Silent films are films that do
not include recorded and synchronized spoken dialogue. In order for the audience to better
understand what an actor or actress is feeling and portraying on screen, silent films place a
lot of emphasis on body language and facial expressions. The aim of this research is to find
examples of cyberbullying depicted in the main character in the silent film "The Dreams" using
a semiotic model which includes representation, object and interpretant. Semiotic analysis is
used as a data analysis technique in this qualitative research. Semiotic analysis is a branch of
linguistics that seeks to find the meaning of signs or things hidden behind a sign (advertising,
news, films). Semiotics involves analyzing language, images, gestures, or other objects to be
able to communicate messages based on a concept.Cyberbullying is a form of harassment or
intimidation that occurs via social media, text messages, emails, or other online platforms.
This is a serious problem that can have long-term consequences for the mental and emotional
