Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determi ne student communication patterns during online learning.
When entering the world of lectures, students will be closely related to technology, especially when
learning is carried out daring or online. The research method used is qualitative using
phenomenological approach studies. The results of this study show that students prefer off came
rather than on came when learning daring or online, students also tend to open other applications
when online learning takes place. Applications that are opened are mostly social media such as
WhatsApp and Instagram applications. And they also open applications other than their social
media, they also open YouTube and Google applications to support learning. Obstacles must exist
when doing this online learning, Some of the obstacles experienced by students when learning
online or online include: 1. unstable network, 2. Activeness during learning, 3. Laziness and
difficulty concentrating, 4. Limited devices for online learning, 5. Limited internet quota, 6.
Difficult to interact with lecturers, 7. Many disturbances at home or elsewhere, 8. It is difficult to
understand the material provided by teachers or lecturers. Daring learning is also more flexible
because it can be done anywhere and anytime, making students lazy and prefer to play. This study
serves to find out how student communication patterns are formed when doing online learning.
