Impresi Penggunaan Kata “Jancuk” Dalam Komunikasi Antarmahasiswa

Language is a tool that used by living creatures to interact with forms of communication with
others. In communication, there are some words that are not recommended for use because they
are impolite, these words are called swearing. The most popular swearing word in Indonesia is
"jancuk". The word is derived from the East Java Province, hence it is a Javanese language. The
use of word "jancuk" will have a positive and negative impact on student communication.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to impress the impact of word "jancuk" in communication
between students. This study is qualitative. To obtain data on the purpose of this research, the
researchers interviewed several designated sources. The researchers classified their paradigm
as constructivism. The results that the researchers obtained showed that the use of word "jancuk"
in communication between students had a positive and negative impact. According to association
factor that is the most dominant factor in the use of this word, the word "jancuk" can have a
positive impact on the closer relationship between individuals. However, if used in inappropriate
contexts will adversely affect the student's image. In addition, it turns out that the use of word
"jancuk" has a positive impact on branding. Therefore, researchers included SWOT analysis in
its discussion. The conclusions that can be drawn from this study is, the use of word "jancuk" in
communication between students must be adapted to the current situation and conditions. The
solution to avoid unfavorable image assessment due to the use of swearing word is by paying
attention to the opponent's speech while communicating. So, we can know when word "jancuk"
should not be used
