Discord Sebagai Sarana Bagi Para Gamers Untuk Berinteraksi di Dunia Maya

Abstract

This article explores the motives and reasons gamers socialize through the Discord application and in
cyberspace. By digging deeper, we can understand why they choose this platform to interact, experience,
and build, community in an online environment. This research took respondents from members of the Mobile
Legends gamers group using interview techniques, from various components such as menus, colors, designs,
and so on. The gamer community has different criteria for several components provided by the online game.
From the differences produced by the gamer community, a process of perception is carried out through the
senses of sight and hearing involving several stages in the online game. It is not surprising that gamers who
like playing games and almost every child live in a virtual/online world, in reality definitely use social media
as a means to communicate with the community and their professional friends. One of the most popular
social media applications among gamers is "Discord". Discord is a social platform for communicating with
the wider community which is increasingly popular among gamers and online communities. This platform is
usually used to provide a conversation space that is general to thematic/broad in nature. So the aim of this
research is to provide a good or bad perception or assessment of the components provided in the online
game.
