Motif Perempuan Menggunakan Aplikasi Bumble

Abstract

The development of technology makes communication easier. With the pattern of technological
development, the activity of finding a mate has also developed. This makes it easier to find a partner,
and there is a significant increase in finding a partner, especially for women who are sensitive to
discussions about a partner. One social networking search that is often used incorrectly is the
Bumble application. The use of the Bumble application itself is to bring together one user with
another. Starting with similar hobbies that make it a criterion for a dream partner, the Bumble
application is the most frequently used means of finding dating friends. Female users on the Bumble
application can determine the person of the opposite sex they want and can chat directly in the chat
room if they swipe right. This research was conducted with the aim of determining what women's
motives are in using Bumble, how the self-disclosure communication process has similarities and
the meaning of the partner's meaning. The information that will be presented in this research was
obtained by the sources. The researchers decided to get this information by conducting interviews
with 7 female Bumble users. This research uses a critical paradigm by applying qualitative research
and using phenomenological research methods. The results of this research explain the process of
women's motives for using Bumble to find a partner. Using the Bumble application, female users are
the first to send messages, and using this application, the resource person wants to try new things.
The orientation of the users' actions in implementing Bumble is a sense of fun, looking for friends,
trying new things, being suggested by friends, filling free time when lonely, looking for a girlfriend
and, looking for a soul mate.
