This research aims to analyze the social movements of subalterns in relation to dromological
phenomena in the era of globalization. Subalterns are now able to show their existence through
mass media where in mass media everyone is considered to have the same equality. If Gayatri
Spivak's classical theory explains that subalterns find it difficult or even unable to voice their
expression and existence, then this research will enrich Spivak's analysis because of social changes
that are always developing. This development has actually made it possible for subalterns to gain
their position and their struggle can be communicated directly through mass media (TikTok). This
study used qualitative research methods. Qualitative methods were chosen because this
phenomenon requires in-depth analysis. The data in this research collects several examples of
accounts on TikTok where subalterns such as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Transsexual,
Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ), people with disabilities, as well as religious groups that are 'often
considered' minorities show their existence through short videos or more often through live
streaming activities that have a long duration and even involve direct interaction with netizens.
The results of this research are first, answering the idea "can subaltern speak?" Spivak. Second,
subalterns are able to compete for virtual space in TikTok media. Third, the success of the
subaltern movement in the dromological era.
