Persepsi Orangtua Terhadap Penggunaan Aplikasi TikTok Pada Anak Usia 6 Hingga 12 Tahun

Abstract

TikTok is an app that is quite popular among various groups, such as early childhood, children users
of TikTok apps will get more insight because the content displayed is quite diverse, but from that it
will make it possible for children to reach out to negative things that will affect child development.
This study aims to find out how parents perceive the use of TikTok apps in 6-12 year olds. Of course,
as a parent who gives children access to TikTok games, it is necessary to know what uses are
generated and how to operate the app. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach in which
all data sources were derived from the descriptive sentences described in the entire study. The data
collection method uses direct interviews to parents of TikTok application users and documentation to
help obtain sufficiently deep data on TikTok application users’ children. This perception is divided
into two types of negative and positive. It is also used as an educational and creative development as
well as entertainment presenters for children. But often children get addicted and result in negligence
in doing something, even children can be affected by communicating by imitating speech styles
through indecent content and causing bad ethics to children and bad influences in socializing with
their own liking
