Abstract

This article discusses the message of bullying in the film "Imperfect," by director Ernest Prakasa. This
film highlights bullying as an issue with an emotionally moving and deep approach. Through the main
character, Rara, experiencing bullying since her teenage years, this film shows the psychological and
emotional impact of this experience. The film "Imperfect" depicts Rara's journey in finding her identity
and facing internal conflict due to the bullying she experienced. This film not only highlights the dark
side of bullying, but also provides a powerful message about the power of accepting and loving
yourself. Film is a channel for various kinds of ideas, notions and concepts that are integrated and
can have various impacts from its viewing. Therefore, the effect or influence that films have on
audiences will ultimately produce a certain perception and understanding that is able to direct society
and enable changes in social reality. Using methods of film analysis and critical review, this article
will show how important the depiction of bullying in the media is as a tool for creating awareness and
motivating social change. Through the film "Imperfect," Ernest Prakasa succeeded in conveying a
strong message about courage, strength, and the importance of understanding and accepting oneself
