Abstract

Women are figures created by God with glory. Just like any other human being, God created humans carefully. In spite of that,
an imprecision in how women are being treated as a normal human being is still very much of a common sight in today’s
society. Women are still being looked down by people, in social media for the most part. Social media is a platform for freedom
of expression, however to express one’s freedom, people have to learn their boundaries for themselves and for other people.
This research has the aim to regulate the impact of cases of body objectification on women who are still sometimes underestimated
through advances in social media technology. The current study confirms the examination of the impact of objectification on women’s
bodies through social media applying qualitative phenomenological methods. The researchers have interviewed several women
who had the courage to speak up to empower the chosen topic. Based on the results of the research, it shows how the
objectification of women’s bodies through social media creates different impacts on different people which will also determine
how each person is going to face the problem.
