Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of bullying due to beauty standards on adolescent girls.
Bullying, which often involves teasing, harassment and social pressure regarding appearance, can
have serious psychological impacts on teenagers. The method used in this research is the
constructivism paradigm where this research uses information from several people. The results of
this study indicate that bullying about appearance significantly influences adolescent girls'
perception of beauty. Those who experience bullying tend to have lower levels of self-confidence,
more negative self-perceptions regarding appearance, and are more likely to feel pressured to meet
unrealistic beauty standards. This emphasizes the importance of awareness about the impact of
bullying on adolescent girls and the need for efforts to overcome bullying and educate the public
about the diversity of beauty. In addition, it also emphasizes the need to strengthen adolescent girls'
self-confidence and provide greater support in building a positive self-image
