Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that cause early marriage and its impact on adolescents and analyze
premarital education as a strategy to reduce cases of early marriage. The research method used is phenomenology
through interviews to a teenager about their knowledge about early marriage and adolescents who do early
marriage. The results showed economic factors, education, parents and customs that affect the occurrence of early
marriage in adolescents, physical and psychological impact caused on adolescents who experience early marriage,
as well as the results of premarital education which shows that adolescents at this time are more aware of the
dangers of early marriage and know the impact of early marriage greatly affect the lives of adolescents who
experience it.
