Tiktok Sebagai PlatformVenting Mendorong Cyberbullying Gen-Z

Abstract

In this modern era, technological advances have brought many social changes to society. This is supported by the emergence
of various media, one of which is Tiktok. As an application with an increasing number of users, of course, various content
can be found in it. Until the majority of gen-Z as active users make Tiktok a media to vent. Venting on Tiktok invites
negative comments to the emergence of cyberbullying. Cyberbullying has a negative impact on gen-Z mental health such as
severe stress, prolonged depression and other psychological disorders. Social change in the form of the development of this
media is often misused by the public to spread hate speech. There are various types of people and of course someone chooses
to vent on social media for a reason. The main problem discussed is “cyberbullying”, where the point of social change that
occurs is on "Tiktok as a venting platform" so this shows that gen-Z has a change in perspective, starting from what they
initially confide in their parents and close friends, now many of them those who switch to using Tiktok as a medium of
vent.
