This study aims to examine the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in primary schools, with a particular focus on strengthening students’ social character. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach involving 25 recent and relevant international articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that AI can facilitate contextual and interactive IPAS learning by providing social simulations, reflective feedback, and moral scenarios that stimulate students’ empathy and social awareness. The most effective AI-based pedagogical strategies include project-based learning, value-based gamification, and adaptive virtual agents that engage students with ethical dilemmas. Nevertheless, the implementation of AI in primary schools continues to face challenges, including teachers’ digital literacy, limited technological infrastructure, and a lack of locally relevant content grounded in cultural and social values. This study emphasizes that AI functions not merely as a cognitive support tool but also as a pedagogical partner in fostering students’ character development. The study recommends the development of AI-based IPAS curriculum models that are aligned with local sociocultural values and the needs of character education.
