Scientific literacy is an essential 21st-century competency that students need to develop from the primary school level. However, previous studies indicate that primary school students’ scientific literacy remains relatively low due to the limited availability of learning media capable of visualizing abstract science concepts. This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning medium using the Assemblr Edu platform to enhance scientific literacy among primary school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The developed AR learning medium was validated by subject matter and media experts and subsequently tested with fourth-grade primary school students. The validation results indicated that the developed medium was categorized as highly feasible. Furthermore, the trial results demonstrated an improvement in students’ scientific literacy scores across the dimensions of scientific knowledge, scientific processes, and scientific attitudes. These findings suggest that Assemblr Edu-based AR learning media are feasible as an innovative approach to science learning and have potential to support the development of scientific literacy among primary school students.
