Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another publication.
  • The abstract is 250–300 words, includes an English title and 3–5 keywords, and states the intended track (1–5).
  • Any full paper follows the proceedings template (4,000–6,000 words) and lists all authors with affiliations.
  • Presentation materials are accessible: readable font sizes, sufficient colour contrast, and descriptions of visual content.
  • Accessibility or accommodation needs for the presenter or participants are declared in the submission or registration form.
  • The author understands that acceptance for presentation does not guarantee publication in the abstract book, e-proceedings, partner journals, or any indexing service.
  • The author agrees to the privacy statement and to a non-exclusive licence for archiving and publishing the contribution.

Author Guidelines

INSPIRE accepts research papers, good practices, policy papers, innovation cases, posters, and curated demonstrations that address disability inclusion, assistive technology, inclusive education, mental health and well-being, community empowerment, or inclusive and sustainable cities. Contributions are submitted through this OJS site for the iSDISD 2026 proceedings.

Abstract (mandatory)

  • 250–300 words covering background, objective, method or approach, key results or contribution, implications, and 3–5 keywords.
  • An English title and English keywords are required, even when the presentation is in Indonesian.
  • State the intended track (1–5) and the contribution type: research, good practice, policy paper, innovation case, poster, or demonstration.

Full paper (optional)

  • Recommended length 4,000–6,000 words, in the proceedings template.
  • A full paper is not required merely to present, but papers considered for the e-proceedings, UNESA journals, or the SEAMEO SEN partner journal must follow the template and editorial process.
  • Provide original work, a complete author list with affiliations, and a short biography for the presenting author.

Presentation format

  • Five parallel tracks run simultaneously; each room hosts a maximum of five oral presentations.
  • Each presenter has 12 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion, 13:10–14:30 on 26 November 2026.
  • Each track closes with a synthesis: three findings, two recommendations, and one collaboration opportunity.

Accessible presentation materials

Presenters must submit materials that everyone can use: readable font sizes, sufficient colour contrast, concise descriptions of visual content, and verbal explanation of key graphics. Live captioning and sign interpretation are provided in main sessions; indicate any additional requirement in the submission form so the committee can prepare.

Selection criteria

Thematic relevance, originality, clarity of method or practice, impact for persons with disabilities, involvement of users, feasibility, and presentation quality. Possible decisions are: accepted for oral presentation, accepted for poster or demonstration, accepted with revision, or declined. Review and ethics verification take place 21–28 July 2026, with results announced on 31 July 2026.

Publication

Accepted contributions may appear in the abstract book, in the e-proceedings with an international ISBN, or — for selected papers — in UNESA journals or the SEAMEO SEN partner journal. Publication is not automatic and remains subject to ethics, originality, quality, and editorial requirements. Authors keep copyright of their work and grant the proceedings a non-exclusive licence to publish and archive it.

Privacy Statement

This statement explains what the INSPIRE/iSDISD 2026 secretariat collects through this OJS site and the event registration, why it is collected, who can see it, and how long it is kept. It applies to authors, presenters, participants, exhibitors, reviewers, and visitors.

What we collect

  • Account data — name, affiliation, e-mail address, username, and password hash created when you register on this site.
  • Submission data — abstracts, full papers, slides, posters, demonstration videos, author lists and affiliations, review comments, and editorial correspondence.
  • Registration data — participant category, institution, contact details, dietary preference, data consent, and emergency contact.
  • Accessibility and accommodation data — the support you request (for example sign interpretation, captioning, wheelchair access, quiet room, priority seating).

Why we collect it

To run peer review and editorial handling, to publish accepted contributions, to manage registration and payment, to arrange accessibility services and catering, to issue certificates, to communicate programme information, and to produce event reports and proceedings.

Accessibility and accommodation data

Accommodation and accessibility information is visible only to authorised committee members of the accessibility and participant-services team. It is used exclusively to arrange the services you request — never for promotion, profiling, or any other purpose — and it is not published.

Names, e-mail addresses, and publication

Names and e-mail addresses entered on this site are used only for the stated purposes of the proceedings and are not made available to any other party. When a contribution is published, the author names, affiliations, abstract, keywords, and the published files become public, together with the licence and DOI or ISBN metadata of the volume. Photographs and video taken at the symposium are used for documentation and reporting; participants who prefer not to be recorded can inform the documentation team at the registration desk.

Retention

Registration and participant materials are retained only for the approved period, then deleted or anonymised. Published contributions remain archived as part of the public record of the proceedings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to the secretariat.

Cookies and accounts

This site uses session cookies to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences; they are required for login and submission and are not used for advertising. Reviewers and editors see submissions in line with their role, under confidentiality rules.
