Abstract

One of the current learning problems is that there is still traditional teacher learning that focuses on memorization rather than understanding concepts. This can hinder meaningful learning because students are not invited to link teaching materials with previous experience or knowledge. Project-based learning is one of the options for teachers to overcome the problem of meaningful learning. This study aims to determine the trend of writing project-based learning articles in supporting meaningful learning in elementary schools. The method used is bibliometric analysis. Research data from 72 documents published over the past 23 years, were obtained from the Scopus database. The data is stored in Microsoft Excel as data processing material in VOS viewer software. The trend of writing articles on project-based learning to support meaningful learning in elementary schools has increased significantly from 2021 to 2023. VOS Viewer soft ware mapping analysis has three clusters related to project-based learning to support meaningful learning in elementary schools. Faintly colored themes such as the application of project learning for meaningful learning from the perspective of educators, and approaches taken by teachers in developing learning. The use of games for project-based learning, and implementation in art class rooms are themes that are still rarely researched. These themes can be an opportunity to conduct further research.
