PENGARUH KINERJA DPRD KOTA SURABAYA TERHADAP KEPUASAN MASYARAKAT KOTA SURABAYA

Abstrak

The performance assessment of DPRD members is very important in assessing the quantity, quality, and effectiveness of services, as well as motivation and modification of the organization's budget. There are several obstacles that can be found related to the institutional performance of the DPRD in carrying out its duties in accordance with Law Number 23 of 2014, namely the Legislative Function, Supervisory Function, and Budget Function”. This study was motivated by the desire to understand how the performance of the Surabaya City DPRD affects the happiness of residents. This study uses a quantitative method. The unit of analysis used is residents domiciled in the city of Surabaya. The observation unit is the community in the city of Surabaya who have an age limit to elect people's representatives. The time horizon in this study is oneshot or cross-sectional. The population of this study is the Surabaya City Community and the sample used is residents of West, East, Central, South, and North Surabaya with a total of 100 respondents. The questionnaire was distributed online. Data analysis used SPSS Version 30.0. The results of this study support hypothesis 1 which states that the performance of the Surabaya City DPRD has a significant effect on job satisfaction.

Suggestions for further studies are to add other variables that have the potential to impact community satisfaction and to use a wider research area such as the province of East Java.
