This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction and work environment on employee performance at the Motor Vehicle Testing Unit (UPTD) in Tandes, Surabaya. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 56 employees, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 21. The results show that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while the work environment does not have a significant impact. These findings suggest that improving employee performance is more effectively achieved through enhancing job satisfaction, such as increasing salary, improving relationships with supervisors, and providing promotion opportunities. Although the work environment does not show a statistically significant effect, its improvement remains essential for maintaining long-term comfort and work effectiveness. The implication of this study highlights the importance of managerial focus on internal factors particularly job satisfaction to sustainably enhance employee performance and the quality of public service delivery.
