Abstract

Human Resources (HR) is an important component that determines the success of health centers in
providing quality health services. To improve the quality of employees at the puskesmas is the use of the Puskesmas Management Information System (SIMPUS). This study aims to analyze the role of the
Puskesmas Management Information System (SIMPUS) in improving the quality of human resources
(HR) at Puskesmas Tambakrejo, Surabaya. SIMPUS as an integrated information system serves to support the management of health service data, including HR management. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents consisting of doctors, nurses, midwives, laboratory analysts, and other health workers at Tambakrejo Health Center. The results showed that the implementation of SIMPUS contributed positively to the improvement of competence, performance, productivity, work effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. The data show that SIMPUS facilitates access to information, accelerates administrative processes, and supports training and development of human resources at the Puskesmas. Thus, optimizing the use of SIMPUS proves important in efforts to improve the quality of health services. This study recommends strengthening SIMPUS technical training and improving technology infrastructure to support the sustainability of HR quality improvement.
