Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and career development on employee performance in the Fire and Rescue Department of Surabaya City. This study is based on the importance of the role of firefighters in maintaining public safety and the need for managerial support in the form of adequate compensation and a clear career path to increase work motivation. The research method uses quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that both compensation and career development have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This finding indicates that enhancing the compensation system and structured career development programs can be an effective strategy in improving employee productivity and work quality in the Fire and Rescue Department.
