Abstract

This research specifically discusses employee performance at the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Department, with the focus on analyzing the influence of two important variables, namely training and career development on employee performance. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach, where the object of the research was active employees working in the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Department. The number of respondents involved in this study was 50 employees with data collection techniques using online questionnaire distribution to facilitate access and time efficiency. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25 for Windows, which allows researchers to determine how much influence each independent variable has on the dependent variable. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that training has a significant influence on improving employee performance. Similarly, career development was also shown to have a significant influence on employee performance. The implication of this finding is that the implementation of structured training and well-planned career development programs is needed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of employee work.
