Analisis Deskriptif ROA Perusahaan Sektor Energi di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2021-2025

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the financial performance of energy sector companies listed on
the Indonesia Stock Exchange based on Return on Assets during 2021-2025 period. The study employs a
quantitative descriptive approach using secondary data and a sample of 61 companies, calculating by
comparing by comparing net income to total assets adn subsequently analyzed using the mean, median,
standard deviation, minimum and maximum values, and outlier identification. The results indicate that the
average ROA rose from 5,46% in 2021 to 6,50% in 2022, the declined to 3,81% in 2025. The disparity
between the mean and median, along with the presence of negative ROA values and outliers, reveals
significant performance variation among the companies. These findings suggest that the average ROA for
the energy sector does not fully reflect the conditions of all individual companies throughout observation
period. This study provides insight into the trends and variations in the financial performance of energy
sector companies based on ROA 2021 to 2025.
