This study aims to examine the effect of job training on employee performance at the Fire and Rescue Department of Surabaya City. The research is based on the importance of human resource development through structured training as a key strategy to improve the effectiveness of public service delivery, especially in high-risk and emergency operational tasks. The study employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 60 employees who participated in the In-House Firefighting Training I in 2024. The results show that job training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by a t-value of 12.582 and a significance level of p < 0.001. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.732, meaning that 73.2% of the variation in employee performance is explained by job training. These findings confirm that well-designed training programs can enhance employee skills, motivation, and work effectiveness. The study offers practical implications for policymakers to strengthen employee training programs as a strategic measure to improve performance and professionalism in the public sector.
